Birchbox Goodies // August 2019

When your Birchbox is more summery than the weather outside 😂 Remember last month when I was complaining about the heat? I'd like a little bit of warmth back, please and thank you! This month, Birchbox are celebrating all things summer, with a box of treats that are perfect for warmer weather! In this box, I got a ModelCo highlighter, a GLAMGLOW mask, a Hyaluronic mist from Balance Me, an Anatomicals body scrub and a moisturising cream from Oribe! ModelCo Mermaid Glow Highlighter RRP £10 Anything mermaid-themed and I'm pretty much sold, let's be honest. I wasn't sure I'd like this at first because of all the different colours, but once I swirled my brush around the whole pan I got a really gorgeous glow! I think you could probably use all the colours individually as well which is good, but I love how this looked on the skin all mixed together. I found it didn't latch on to any texture on my skin and it lasted all day without leaving me with a glit...

Birchbox Goodies // June 2019

Well, at least my June Birchbox is giving me some summer vibes because this weather sure isn't! Is a bit of sunshine too much to ask for?  This month, Birchbox has teamed up with Paperchase for their box design and they're encouraging us to embrace some wanderlust and get out on an adventure (weather permitting). Paperchase is definitely my favourite stationary brand and I could easily spend all day browsing their products! This month, I received a Laritzy lip crayon, a Gimme Brow from Benefit, a Rituals body cream, an eye mask from Wander and an amika shampoo. Read on to see what I thought! Laritzy Lip Stix in "Plum" RRP £20 I was pretty excited to see another product from Laritzy in this month's box - I got a liquid lipstick from them a couple of months ago and it's honestly one of the best formulas I've ever used! This product is more of a lip crayon with a satin finish and the colour is absolutely stunning. My only criticism is that it real...

Birchbox Goodies // May 2019

Does anyone else have a major urge to just spend the next few months sitting in the nearest beer garden or is that just me? Summer is well and truly making its return and for this month's Birchbox we're celebrating being able to spread our wings (although I wish those wings were taking me to a beach). In this box, I got a Lord & Berry eyeliner, a toner from Sukin, a Beautaniq mascara, a face sunscreen from Mimitika and a hair mask from Philip Kingsley. Lord & Berry Line/Shade Eye Pencil RRP £13 I'm pretty sure I've received one of these in a previous Birchbox and from what I remember, I liked this product then and I like it now! I don't really use black pencil liner unless I'm doing a dark smokey eye, in which case I'll use it to line my bottom lashline. This one is pretty pigmented and also smudges out really nicely so it ticks all the boxes for what I look for in a product like this. I do think the price tag is a little expensive though, ...

Birchbox Goodies // April 2019

I'm writing this having just watched the latest Game of Thrones episode so bear with - I'm a bit emotionally fragile right now! (If you haven't seen it yet you are in for 90 minutes of OH MY CHRIST) A little bit late with this month's Birchbox post; I've started back at school again so it's been a little bit crazy but I figured I'd get this out while I've still got 2 days of the month left! This month's box is inspired by the healing power of crystals and enhancing your natural glow from within. Now, I don't really believe in crystal healing but I am all about that inner glow (plus they're beautiful to look at) so I was pretty excited by this box design! This month, I received a Benefit POREfessional primer, an ESTATE highlighter, an eye mask from Vitamasques, a Human+Kind moisturiser and an eye cream from Balance Me. ESTATE Cosmetics Dew Me Baked Highlighter in "Afterglow" RRP £10 Ok, so I wasn't really looking forw...

Birchbox Goodies // March 2019

Welcome back to the bubble! I've got another Birchbox review here for you and in honour of International Women's Month, Birchbox have created a design that's serving all the boss bitch realness! All the products in this month's box are designed to make a busy life that little bit easier so we can get on with running the world. In this box, I received a Beauty Crop bronzer, an eyebrow gel from Chella, a Generation Clay mask, a Caudalie serum and a Palmer's coconut oil shampoo, as well as a little sample of Charlotte Tilbury's Scent of a Dream. I also randomly received a liquid bronzer/highlighter from a brand called Rouge Bunny Rouge. I'm not sure if this was a mistake because there's nothing about it on the information card, but hey I'm not going to complain about an extra product! The Beauty Crop Bronzer Compact in "Sardinia Sands" RRP £8 I was actually really surprised at how much I love this little bronzer! I've always been...

Birchbox Goodies // January 2019

This was very nearly titled as "January 2018" because I still can't get used to the New Year 😂 anyway, hello and welcome back to my bubble! Today I'll be reviewing the January Birchbox and all the products I got this month! The Birchbox Team are definitely making sure everyone has a great start to the year with this super fun, super colourful box! It's definitely helping shift those January blues! In this box, I received a CLÄ’ Cosmetics cushion highlighter, a cleansing bar from Dr. Botanicals, a Philip Kingsley shampoo, an Afterspa face scrubber and a clay mask from Sand & Sky! I also got some adorable pom pom hairbands which fit with the theme perfectly!  CLÄ’ Cosmetics Essence Moonlighter Cushion in "Apricot Tinge" RRP £22 Cushion make-up has been around for quite a while now but it's not something I've ever really tried to be honest, so I was quite intrigued to try a cushion highlight. I am mega impressed with this one - you ge...

Birchbox Goodies // December 2018

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas... And I'm definitely in the mood after seeing the design for this month's Birchbox! This is definitely my favourite design yet and the products inside were gorgeous as well. This month, I received a Benefit Galifornia blush, a Rituals body cream, a sheet mask from Oh K!, a Lartizy liquid lipstick and a Percy & Reed hair mask. As a bonus Christmas treat, I also got a comb and two little chocolates from Hotel Chocolat (which obviously didn't last long at all!) Benefit Cosmetics Galifornia Blush RRP £25.50 I actually already own this blush - it came as part of my  Cheek Parade blush palette  and it's definitely a shade I've used a lot! It's a really pretty hot pink shade, and like all of Benefit's powders, it applies really easily! It is quite pigmented so a little goes a long way, but it's a perfect shade for summer if you want a pop of pink on your cheeks! Would I buy again? Definitely! Ri...

Birchbox Goodies // November 2018

Ok, so normally I'm dead against anything even remotely Christmas-related coming near me in November (working in retail ruins the Christmas period, don't do it kids) but I will admit this month's Birchbox can be the exception to this rule. This month, they've teamed up with Disney to celebrate the release of The Nutcracker and the Four Realms. I can't say I'm particularly interested in seeing this film, maybe the stage snob inside me is worried they're going to ruin a perfectly good ballet. However, I thought the products and the theme tied in really well together and this is probably one of my favourite boxes so far! This month, I received a Manna Kadar roller eyeshadow, a Paul & Joe illuminating primer, a night cream from Polaar, some gel eye masks from Beauty BLVD and a Spacemask!  Manna Kadar Diamond Dust Roller Eyeshadow in "Pixie" RRP £15 What better way to kick off the festive season than with a bit of shimmer and sparkle? I wa...
