Kiko Are Killing It // Kiko Milano Fall 2.0 Collection Haul

So this post has been a bit of a long time coming; I think the collection originally launched sometime in early August, but I've only just been able to get my hands on some products! This is a capsule collection that Kiko launched and it's all inspired by the city of Venice, there's quite a few new products and some autumnal twists on products they already sell. The lipsticks, eyeliners and highlighters all come in a variety of different shades and they also have a mineral foundation, brushes, blushes, a bronzer and my personal favourite, magnetic eyeshadow! It's just the pots that are magnetic, so they have a wavey pattern that basically never disappears because the magnet keeps it in place. I'm still a bit gutted I didn't pick one up, but I do already own quite a few metallic eyeshadows, so I might pop back and have another look! The products I did end up purchasing were the eye contour mask, eyeliner in "Future is Gold", lip liner and lipstick, both in "Modern Mauve" and the "Steps to Modern" highlighter!

Eye Contour Mask

This is a single-use eye mask that claims to cool and sooth the eye area and also smooth out any fine lines. The really cool twist on this one is the beautiful lace design on it - it's meant to resemble a Venetian masquerade mask and it looks so pretty! It also felt really nice on the skin, it was a little bit tricky to put on as it was quite slippery, but it definitely had a lovely cooling affect once I managed to get it on. I didn't really notice a difference on my actual skin, so it maybe isn't the best mask for that but it would be perfect for when you've not slept well or you spend a long time staring at a screen and need to reduce some puffiness around your eyes!

Eyeliner in "Future is Gold"

I was quite impressed at the versatility of this eyeliner - the sales assistant in Kiko showed me how you could use it all over your eyelid as a really pigmented shimmer eyeshadow and it looked amazing! I did try to use this as a normal eyeliner but because it's quite a neutral/pale shade it didn't show up brilliantly on my skin. However, I used it on top of my Kat Von D tattoo liner and that created a really cool, 60's inspired look! You could also probably use this as a liquid highlight, so it's definitely a product you will get the use out of!

Lip Liner and Lipstick in "Modern Mauve"

Well, I think I may have found my go-to Autumn nude! I actually can't get enough of this colour, I was really torn between which of the lipsticks to buy but I definitely made the right choice with it! The formula is really creamy and although it dries down with a matte finish, it's not drying on the lips at all. The liner is also really thin and precise which makes it so easy to use! I think this may be my favourite product out of the collection!

Highlighter in "Steps to Modern"

Another product that I'm really impressed by. I've been a little bit put off from buying powder highlighters as I've found they can be quite chunky and full of glitter, but this one just has a very subtle shimmer. A little goes a long way with this one and it works well with a brush or just your fingers! It's a really pretty pinky/copper/gold colour, so it's perfect for those autumn cheeks!

So here's a little look I threw together using these products - you can see where I've put the eyeliner over the top of my Tattoo Liner. The lipstick just looks and feels so nice, I'm so pleased with the products I bought and I think Kiko have released a stunning, luxury looking range that won't break the bank!

Urban Decay Vice Lipstick "Morning After" Review

Urban Decay Vice Lipstick in "Morning After" *New favourite lipstick alert*  This lipstick is seriously giving me life right now! I bought it a couple of weeks ago and since then I've been constantly reaching for it. It's part of the Vice lipsticks collection from Urban Decay, which comes in 100 different shades and 6 different finishes (Comfort Matte, Cream, Metallized, Sheer, Sheer Shimmer and Mega Matte) and they're priced at £15. This one is from the Sheer range, it's a light nude shade that's more on the pink side. What I really love about is how buildable it is in terms of colour; one coat and you just get that really subtle, pink sheen to your lips or you can build it up into a super-glossy pink look! The only bad thing I can say about it is that they haven't made this shade in the matte finish because it would be so perf! (I think the closest you'll get in this finish is "Backtalk")

The Cherry On Top // Urban Decay Naked Cherry Palette Review

Wow I'm actually sitting down to review something that isn't a Birchbox 😂 I've been meaning to write this post since October when I got this palette, but as usual school and other life stuff have meant it's taken until now to do! RRP £42 This palette originally launched in September as a new instalment of Urban Decay's Naked series. I was really excited by it, as it's very different to all of the other Naked palettes out there and I'm a sucker for anything remotely pink-toned. It retails for £42, making it one of the more expensive palettes in the Naked series, and inside are 12 beautiful berry-toned shades: Hot Spot - a matte ivory shade. I always use these for setting my eyeshadow primer and as a browbone highlight shade. Caution - a neutral matte beige. Bang Bang - a pink shimmer. Feelz - a dusty rose matte shade. Juicy - a peachy pink matte. This is a great transition shade. Turn On - a gorgeous rose-gold metallic shade. Ambitio...

Why I Came Off The Pill // Honesty Time

I wasn't 100% sure if I was going to write about coming off The Pill or not. I personally think that a lot of people, especially women, feel that they can't talk about contraception and the effects it has openly. I recently read a blog by Alex Jones (her Instagram account is @alexgracejones if you'd like to have a look) which pretty much convinced me to write this. As Alex says in her blog, contraception is a conversation I've had with friends so many times, and yet outside of those circles, you don't really hear anyone speak about it. Personally, as a woman, I've always felt it's pretty much been up to me to make sure I don't get pregnant, whether that's taking hormonal contraception or using a condom. It seems odd to me then, that there aren't many women out there talking openly about their contraception, so I think it's time we changed this! I originally went on The Pill when I was 17 because my periods were really irregular and very h...
