Getting Cosy // Cosy Club Ipswich Launch Party

Last night, I was fortunate enough to be invited to the launch party for the new Cosy Club that’s opened in the Buttermarket in Ipswich! I had a brilliant night and of course consumed more tapas and prosecco than could be considered healthy!

Decor goals at Cosy Club - LOOK AT THE CHANDELIERS!

We were greeted at the door with a free glass of bubbly and shown to our table. I’ve been to a Cosy Club branch before and I never fail to be amazed by the beautiful and quirky décor; there’s a real eccentric vintage feel which I love and every member of staff goes all out with their uniform to suit their workplace (head over to @cosyclubipswich where you will see their general manager sporting a very dapper waistcoat!)
We were also treated to free food from Cosy Club’s tapas menu (the dishes all come with ciabatta bread and are £4.95 each or 3 for £11.95) I wasted no time getting stuck into delicious pulled chicken and chorizo, scrummy hummus and (my personal favourites) beef and pork meatballs in a red wine and tomato sauce! *Insert heart eye emoji here*

Tapas for days!

After a very enjoyable evening, we left with a little goody bag which included a Cosy Club mug, a ration book filled with vouchers (you will always win my heart with a discount on puddings!) and a little packet of Forget-Me-Not seeds, which were such an adorable idea!

Cute goody bags!

A big thank you to everyone for their wonderful hospitality last night!
Cosy Club Ipswich is now open in the Buttermarket Shopping Centre!

Urban Decay Vice Lipstick "Morning After" Review

Urban Decay Vice Lipstick in "Morning After" *New favourite lipstick alert*  This lipstick is seriously giving me life right now! I bought it a couple of weeks ago and since then I've been constantly reaching for it. It's part of the Vice lipsticks collection from Urban Decay, which comes in 100 different shades and 6 different finishes (Comfort Matte, Cream, Metallized, Sheer, Sheer Shimmer and Mega Matte) and they're priced at £15. This one is from the Sheer range, it's a light nude shade that's more on the pink side. What I really love about is how buildable it is in terms of colour; one coat and you just get that really subtle, pink sheen to your lips or you can build it up into a super-glossy pink look! The only bad thing I can say about it is that they haven't made this shade in the matte finish because it would be so perf! (I think the closest you'll get in this finish is "Backtalk")

The Cherry On Top // Urban Decay Naked Cherry Palette Review

Wow I'm actually sitting down to review something that isn't a Birchbox 😂 I've been meaning to write this post since October when I got this palette, but as usual school and other life stuff have meant it's taken until now to do! RRP £42 This palette originally launched in September as a new instalment of Urban Decay's Naked series. I was really excited by it, as it's very different to all of the other Naked palettes out there and I'm a sucker for anything remotely pink-toned. It retails for £42, making it one of the more expensive palettes in the Naked series, and inside are 12 beautiful berry-toned shades: Hot Spot - a matte ivory shade. I always use these for setting my eyeshadow primer and as a browbone highlight shade. Caution - a neutral matte beige. Bang Bang - a pink shimmer. Feelz - a dusty rose matte shade. Juicy - a peachy pink matte. This is a great transition shade. Turn On - a gorgeous rose-gold metallic shade. Ambitio...

Why I Came Off The Pill // Honesty Time

I wasn't 100% sure if I was going to write about coming off The Pill or not. I personally think that a lot of people, especially women, feel that they can't talk about contraception and the effects it has openly. I recently read a blog by Alex Jones (her Instagram account is @alexgracejones if you'd like to have a look) which pretty much convinced me to write this. As Alex says in her blog, contraception is a conversation I've had with friends so many times, and yet outside of those circles, you don't really hear anyone speak about it. Personally, as a woman, I've always felt it's pretty much been up to me to make sure I don't get pregnant, whether that's taking hormonal contraception or using a condom. It seems odd to me then, that there aren't many women out there talking openly about their contraception, so I think it's time we changed this! I originally went on The Pill when I was 17 because my periods were really irregular and very h...
