Glowy Skin in a Bottle // NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturiser Review

It's September, so that means it's officially ok to start feeling autumnal (even if our summer weather had other ideas). It feels a little late to be reviewing a product that I've been using loads over the summer, but to be honest I can see myself using this a hell of a lot more than that! I originally bought this back in March - I always use a tinted moisturiser if I'm wearing make-up for uni as the air con in the studios can be quite harsh on my skin, so when I ran out of my last tinted moisturiser, this was the one I chose to replace it. RRP £31 I've never actually used anything from NARS before, so I wasn't really sure what to expect. I've heard really good things about most of their foundations and this one came up pretty highly rated when I was searching for a replacement. It retails for £31, and for that price you get 50ml of product, which definitely makes it on the more expensive side. However, you do only need a small amount and since it...

Birchbox Goodies // August 2019

When your Birchbox is more summery than the weather outside 😂 Remember last month when I was complaining about the heat? I'd like a little bit of warmth back, please and thank you! This month, Birchbox are celebrating all things summer, with a box of treats that are perfect for warmer weather! In this box, I got a ModelCo highlighter, a GLAMGLOW mask, a Hyaluronic mist from Balance Me, an Anatomicals body scrub and a moisturising cream from Oribe! ModelCo Mermaid Glow Highlighter RRP £10 Anything mermaid-themed and I'm pretty much sold, let's be honest. I wasn't sure I'd like this at first because of all the different colours, but once I swirled my brush around the whole pan I got a really gorgeous glow! I think you could probably use all the colours individually as well which is good, but I love how this looked on the skin all mixed together. I found it didn't latch on to any texture on my skin and it lasted all day without leaving me with a glit...

Birchbox Goodies // July 2019

Have to say, this heat is not exactly making me feel like a unicorn at this moment in time (cheers, Global Warming 😒) so bear with me while I pretend the sweat is actually some kind of magical glow. This month, Birchbox are celebrating all things unicorn with a box full of gorgeous treats for us. In this box, I received a Floss eyeshadow, a Marcelle mascara, a tinted moisturiser from Lumene (my absolute FAVE brand), a sleep spray from This Works and a Percy & Reed de-frizz spray. Floss Beauty My Everyday Eyeshadow in "Tokyo" RRP £12.50 I am a sucker for a shimmery pink eyeshadow, especially in the summer and this is absolutely stunning! It has brilliant staying power and it goes on like a dream. I find it works best if you apply it to the lid with your finger and then blend it out with a matte shade (I've been pairing it with my  TooFaced Just Peachy Mattes palette  and it's such a gorgeous combo for summer) Would I buy it again? Yes! Marcelle Xtens...

Birchbox Goodies // June 2019

Well, at least my June Birchbox is giving me some summer vibes because this weather sure isn't! Is a bit of sunshine too much to ask for?  This month, Birchbox has teamed up with Paperchase for their box design and they're encouraging us to embrace some wanderlust and get out on an adventure (weather permitting). Paperchase is definitely my favourite stationary brand and I could easily spend all day browsing their products! This month, I received a Laritzy lip crayon, a Gimme Brow from Benefit, a Rituals body cream, an eye mask from Wander and an amika shampoo. Read on to see what I thought! Laritzy Lip Stix in "Plum" RRP £20 I was pretty excited to see another product from Laritzy in this month's box - I got a liquid lipstick from them a couple of months ago and it's honestly one of the best formulas I've ever used! This product is more of a lip crayon with a satin finish and the colour is absolutely stunning. My only criticism is that it real...

Birchbox Goodies // May 2019

Does anyone else have a major urge to just spend the next few months sitting in the nearest beer garden or is that just me? Summer is well and truly making its return and for this month's Birchbox we're celebrating being able to spread our wings (although I wish those wings were taking me to a beach). In this box, I got a Lord & Berry eyeliner, a toner from Sukin, a Beautaniq mascara, a face sunscreen from Mimitika and a hair mask from Philip Kingsley. Lord & Berry Line/Shade Eye Pencil RRP £13 I'm pretty sure I've received one of these in a previous Birchbox and from what I remember, I liked this product then and I like it now! I don't really use black pencil liner unless I'm doing a dark smokey eye, in which case I'll use it to line my bottom lashline. This one is pretty pigmented and also smudges out really nicely so it ticks all the boxes for what I look for in a product like this. I do think the price tag is a little expensive though, ...

Birchbox Goodies // April 2019

I'm writing this having just watched the latest Game of Thrones episode so bear with - I'm a bit emotionally fragile right now! (If you haven't seen it yet you are in for 90 minutes of OH MY CHRIST) A little bit late with this month's Birchbox post; I've started back at school again so it's been a little bit crazy but I figured I'd get this out while I've still got 2 days of the month left! This month's box is inspired by the healing power of crystals and enhancing your natural glow from within. Now, I don't really believe in crystal healing but I am all about that inner glow (plus they're beautiful to look at) so I was pretty excited by this box design! This month, I received a Benefit POREfessional primer, an ESTATE highlighter, an eye mask from Vitamasques, a Human+Kind moisturiser and an eye cream from Balance Me. ESTATE Cosmetics Dew Me Baked Highlighter in "Afterglow" RRP £10 Ok, so I wasn't really looking forw...

Little Ways You Can Help the Planet // Earth Day 2019

It's Earth Day and our planet is dying. Our beautiful green Earth is under threat; we are the biggest threat both to the animals that we share this planet with and to our own futures. You might be a bit sick of all this talk about environmentalism right now, but these conversations need to keep happening until we make changes to the way we occupy this world. I've been watching David Attenborough's new Netflix series, Our Planet. I've grown up with his wonderful documentaries - Blue Planet first aired when I was 7. Watching Attenborough's newest series has shown me just how much we have damaged the earth in those 17 years. We only have ourselves to blame. It's up to us to fix it and we are running out of time. It can feel quite hopeless when you look at the destruction we have inflicted on the Earth, but if everyone made some simple changes to the way they live their lives, it would make all the difference in the world. I've made a little list of some of ...
